About Me

Hello! I’m Windy! I work at an experiential marketing agency as a design and logistics specialist, where I get to bring creative ideas to life and make events unforgettable. I’m also lucky enough to work as an administrative assistant for my favorite sports team—a dream gig that keeps me close to the action.

I love living an active lifestyle, but when I’m not on the move, you’ll usually find me escaping reality through films or books.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a deep desire to document life—both the ordinary and the extraordinary. Whether it’s a quiet moment or a major milestone, I believe there’s beauty in capturing it all. Life is fleeting, and I want to hold onto the pieces that matter—not just for myself, but for the generations that come after me.

This space is my way of weaving those moments together. A journey of reflection, creativity, and self-discovery. I’m so glad you’re here.

Personal History

I started my academic journey at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC), where I jumped into a Business Administration program. I spent three years there, diving into everything from management to finance, but over time, I realized my heart wasn’t really in it. I found myself more interested in creative things outside of class, so I decided to make a big switch and study Studio Art instead.

Just as I was getting excited about this new direction, the pandemic hit. Suddenly, art classes were online, and I didn’t feel like paying high tuition for something that didn’t make sense to do virtually. So, I decided to drop out again and rethink my options. That’s when I landed on a Marketing program at college, with a creative specialization. It felt like the perfect mix – using my business background but also tapping into my creative side. It finally felt like I was on the right path!

While studying, I applied for an experiential marketing intern position at my current company, but they asked if I’d be interested in a conference and events internship instead. At the time, I just really wanted an internship, so I said yes – and I got the job. Little did I know how different it would be from my studies! I learned a lot, and it turned out to be a good experience, even though event planning and coordination weren’t really what I was studying. People kept telling me I was really good at it, but after my internship, I knew I wanted to finish my education and wasn’t planning on going back into events.

After graduating with my advanced diploma in Marketing and Communications, I wasn’t in a rush to find a job. I was content with my low-maintenance, minimum-wage retail job and doing some brand ambassador gigs on the side. Then, out of the blue, my old supervisor reached out and asked if I was looking for a job. They offered me a one-year contract at the company where I had interned. I was hesitant, but I wanted a “big girl” job, so I accepted.

As I worked there, my interest in the job grew a bit, and I found myself really enjoying working with the people in the company. Eventually, I accepted a full-time position and moved from being an event coordinator to becoming a logistics and design specialist for the conference and events team.

Interests

I’m passionate about creativity and finding meaning in everyday moments. I love watching films and dissecting their themes, diving deep into the storytelling and the messages they convey. I’m also an avid reader, always looking for new books that challenge my perspectives.

My mornings often start with an energy drink before a workout to kickstart my day, and I enjoy curating playlists on Spotify that match different moods or moments. I have a thing for playing chess, finding it both a fun challenge and a great way to sharpen my strategic thinking.

I love deep conversations about life and mental health, as they help foster meaningful connections with others. I enjoy discovering cute coffee shops around the city, where I can unwind or catch up with friends. I’m also a big fan of snacking, always on the lookout for new treats to try. From time to time, I like getting tattoos, finding it a unique way to express myself and mark important moments.

Bike rides and watching the sunset are some of my favorite ways to relax and appreciate the beauty around me. Each of these interests brings a different kind of joy and fulfillment to my life.
